Paris for 2016
The Dominion Post editorial endorses Paris Hilton for US President in 2016:
Her recreational predilections, as revealed on the sex video 1 Night in Paris, should not prove a bar. Bill Clinton might not have had the video camera out, but he was, as Hillary euphemistically observed, “a hard dog to keep on the porch”, and Mr Kennedy’s lustre has not been diminished by revelations that he, too, was prone to wander.
It’s the same story with a brush with the law that saw Ms Hilton briefly jailed for probation violations after driving drunk. After all, George W Bush was fined for drink-driving in 1976. The key is how it is handled, and she followed Mr Bush in showing suitable contrition by announcing she would go to Rwanda to help after her jail sentence. Strangely, she has not managed to make the trip yet, but then broken promises are stock in trade for politicians. …
Sadly, she does face one insurmountable problem. While the US Constitution does not require you to be a “wrinkly white-haired guy” to be president, you do have to be 35. At 27, Ms Hilton misses out. Roll on 2016.
