Fleeing Drivers

I agree with the Police Association that here should be tougher penalties for drivers who flee from the Police. All too often it leads to a death, and the incentives need to be there so that fleeing from the Police is not worthwhile.

I like the idea of vehicle confiscation and imprisonment for those who flee. It means that if you get asked to pull over, you have a clear choice of complying or automatic loss of car and jail. Sure you may get away, but if you do not then it is 100% guaranteed you lose your car and spend some time in jail.
