A gondola for Cardrona

Very cool. Permission has been given for a $17 million gondola to the Pisa Range skifield in the Cardrona valley.

I know the Cardrona Valley well as I actually worked on Cardrona skifield during holidays and weekends for a couple of years as a student. Was possibly the best job I ever had as I got to ski every day, and the highlight was the moonlight skiing after hours followed by the most awesome parties in the cafetaria. Most brillant group of people you could work with also.

I haven’t skied in the South Island for a few years. A good reminder to organise something for next year!
