Clark now longest serving Labour leader
Helen Clark has now become the longest serving leader the NZ Labour Party has had. That’s a not inconsiderable achievement, and an indication of how dominant her leadership has been in the last decade.
She has been leader for around 14 years, three months, and has overtaken their 1st leader – Harry Holland.
In National the longest serving leader was Sid Holland who did 17 years and Holyoake who did almost 15 years.
