Useful suggestions sought

Any useful (ie sensible) suggestions for a good 30th birthday present for someone?  Has to be suitable to posting to Germany.

She is a trade union lawyer, who lived here for a year as a student, when we became great friends. I want something memorable, maybe something Kiwiish but not necessarily so. Not a photo or portrait of Wellington though as she has lots of those already!

Cost not a big factor, but don’t want to go over the top.
