Spammers beware

I’m delighted to see Internal Affairs raid offices in Christchurch, after a NZ link was discovered by the BBC to an international spam gang.

This is why I supported NZ joining the rest of the OECD in having an anti-spam law – so we can do our part working with other agencies in targeting the major spammers.  And from the sounds of it, this is a very large scale operation.

The maximum fine is $500,000.  Personally I would just settle for, if charges are laid and guilt established, with stamping “spammer” on their foreheads.  They’ll never be able to go out in public again 🙂
