Franks seeking National nomination for Wgtn Central

The Weekend Herald reports what many have known – Stephen Franks is seeking the National nomination for Wellington Central.

If Stephen is successful, he’ll be standing against his former colleague Heather Roy.  I’m sure they’ll manage to get on!

I think it will be a shame if Stephen does not make it back into Parliament.  He has a first rate legal mind which is invaluable for scrutinising and improving legislation.  He also has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the law & order area and is excellent at rebutting apologists for the status quo.

I’ve not been to a party meeting in over two years so don’t know who else may or may not be standing in the Wellington seats.  Will be interesting to see who does stand for what seat.
