Fairfax and Pankhurst facing contempt proceedings

Fairfax Media and Dominion Post editor Tim Pankhurst have been told by the Solicitor-General they will face contempt proceedings for publishing the Police file on the Urewera 17.

Sadly for Fairfax and Tim it is probably an open and shut case. But they will argue public interest as a defence I am sure.

I wonder if the SG is trying to find out who posted the file on the Internet and also who leaked the file. That would be interesting.
