Stoned Drivers

Dom Post has an article on how stoned drivers may be 2.5 times more dangerous than drunk driver.

I’ve been a long time supporter of testing for drugs as well as alcohol.   However the problem is the testing.  I understand cannabis can remain detectable for up to two months after use.  Now I think it is fair to say that someone isn’t still impaired days after they had a joint.

The Police procedure of using a balance and co-ordination test, as a filter for a blood test sounds like a pretty pragmatic way to deal with it.
