Now you see them, now you don’t

In the 2005 election year budget, Dr Cullen announced tax cuts.  And then because he was peeved we wer not grateful enough he cancelled them.

And then as he pre-announced a cut in the business  tax rate, he kept hinting this would be matched by personal tax cuts. But as reported by NZPA, he als cancelled the $1 billion of personal tax cuts he had been alluding to.

So that’s twice Cullen has announced or hinted at tax cuts and twice he has cancelled them.

But because they think we really are that stupid, you wait and see they’ll try again in 2008 and promise tax cuts.  Shame on us if we fall for it a third time.
