Gang shooting ruled a cost for the employer

How ridiculous. The Mongrel Mob in Wairoa gunned down an off duty employee of Affco in Affco’s car park.

And the ACC are calling it a work related injury and want Affco to pay for the associated healthcare costs.

Maybe Affco should have put up some posters saying “Would employees please arrange for any gang shootings to take place on the road rather than the car park”.

I’ve not got a section in my company’s OSH policy on gang shootings.  I must add one in.
