Youth MPs on NCEA
NZPA has a story by Ian Llewellyn on the first day for the Youth MPs, and how well behaved they are in the chamber, unlike the normal MPs.
But I did have to laugh at this part:
There was no heckling, no barracking, not even a mild interjection as real ministers fielded a range questions without one sign of disorder in the House.
The only sign of rebellion was a few of the young would-be MPs rolled their eyes as Education Minister Steve Maharey defended the NCEA to their obvious amusement.
When those who actually are going through NCEA are having trouble restraining themselves when Steve Maharey tries to bullshit on how well it is all going, that says more than a foot high pile of official reports.
