Vaovasamanaia Winston Peters

Winston Peters has been given a matai (chiefly) name.  The name is Vaovasamanaia made up of  three major concepts vao; “vegetation”, vasa, “the sea” and manaia “beautiful, handsome, awesome, delighted and joyful”.

So he is a very handsome sea vegetable?

I guess Winston is just glad they didn’t give him a Taito title.  Taito Winston Peters would not go down well!
