TVNZ Downsizing

The HOS Editorial is critical of TVNZ for its downsizing, saying dropping 150 experienced staff is stripping off its most experienced assets.

Indeed the downsizing is so bad, not only has it hit Keith Quinn, but also yours truly who has been axed from the political panel on the Good Morning show.

Actually in my case I am sure cost had nothing to do with it. We had four on the panel, and during my absence overseas, they decided it works better with a smaller number, so I’ve been placed on the bench as substitute. A bit of a pity as I really enjoyed working with presenters Sarah and Brendan, and panelists Barry, Jane and Willie. We’d often laugh before, during and after each show. But easy come, easy go.
