Making it up

More made up claims regarding the 20 “free” hours policy.

Steve Maharey was asked how much the average weekly saving would be for parents with children at kindy, and he said about $60.

However the Kindergarten Association said initial figures showed 76 per cent of kindy parents would save $20 or less.

How could this be?

A spokeswoman for Mr Maharey said his estimate was not based on “official” figures but anecdotal information from kindergartens, parents and officials.

Oh that explains it. He made it up.
