Canadian Airports

Canada is providing guidelines to screeners on whether to arrest people who mention bombs or guns. Obviously common sense wasn;t enough, so they provide these examples:

Arrest

* “You better look through my suitcase carefully, because there’s a bomb in there”
* “I am going to set fire to this airplane with this blowtorch”
* “The man in seat 32F has a machine gun”

Do not arrest

* “Your hockey team is going to get bombed (badly beaten) tonight”
* “Hi Jack!”
* “You don’t need to frisk me, I’m not carrying a weapon”

Incidentally while I do have a sense of humour which normally sits somewhere between inappropriate and offensive, the one thing I never do is joke about bombs or guns in airports. It’s not funny, just stupid.
