Gina’s
I’m up in Auckland for a week. Attending the Tel Con 8 conference today and tomorrow.
Got back from Blenheim at 4.30 p.m. on Sunday and then almost straight onto the 6 p.m. flight to Auckland. Quickly dropped the bags off and headed out to dinner.
We (Jordan Carter, myself and Michael Wigley) went to Gina’s.
It’s not the place to go if you want a quiet dinner, but it’s great if you want good inexpensive food, with real atmosphere. The staff have a ball dancing with some of the patrons, delivering birthday cakes, and just generally hammering on the roof and walls to create a crescendo of noise whenever they felt like it.
As I said, the food was very good (Italian of course), and the wine even better. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to.
