Three more weeks of daylight saving
I think most will welcome the Government’s sensible decision to extend daylight saving dates by three weeks. Certainly in Wellington we have had a late summer so it will be good to not turn the clocks back so quickly.
Daylight Saving will now run for over half the year – 27 weeks from 2am on September 30 to 3am on April 6, 2008.
Does anyone know what the Herald means though by “New Zealand has had 24 weeks of daylight saving since 1990, on top of the half hour of standard daylight savings since 1941”. What is this half hour pre 1990?
Good to see someone has been tasked to let Microsoft etc know, so all the computers on Windows will automatically adjust.
