John Key Tour Guide
If John Key doesn’t get to be Prime Minister he has a fine future ahead of him as a parliamentary tour guide. The video above is 11 minutes long but surprisingly watchable with a tour through the debating chamber, the grand hall, the parliamentary press gallery and then his own offices. Key is keeping up the video blogging pretty well with two or three updates a week.
But a life as a tour guide looks somewhat less likely tonight after the startling turn-around in the TV3 poll. TV3/TNS have shown Labour leading in every single poll since the election. Their May poll not only has National ahead, but a 14% turnaround from Labour 2% ahead to National 12% ahead. Also for the first time since Helen Clark became Prime Minister, they show her in second place as Preferred PM.
I swear I can recall some people saying the smacking compromise was a disaster for Key. Well looks to be a fairly pleasant disaster as disasters go.
