A fight for civilisation itself

Lucyna declares that the attempt by the Catholic Bishop’s to get Southpark banned is a “fight for civilisation itself”.

It is, for without free speech we don’t have civilisation. The Bishops are trying to pull our civilisation down and pull us back to the dark ages. But to be fair thy are doing so within an established legal framework.

In fact Lucyna points to this by wistfully noting that “100 years ago the reaction would be far more aggressive than that of the Catholic Bishops today”.

Well indeed the world was so much more civilised 100 years ago. In most countries women did not have the vote.
