Second Preferences
A recent poll in the UK asked people who their second choice would be. It’s one of those silly hypothethical questions, because there are always mainstream parties on the right and left to choose from. Some Tories were understandably upset to see that 12% of their voters said the BNP would be their second choice.
If I had to rank the parties in the NZ Parliament in terms of personal preference, the ranking would be:
1 National
2 ACT
3 United Future
4 NZ First (without Winston)
5 Labour
6 Maori
7 Greens
8 NZ First (with Winston
9 Progressive
