People may remember Dr Rhys Cullen as the author of a book saying “Maori have every right to enjoy smoking, gambling and eating fatty foods if they want to” and “Maori health workers who say otherwise are just brainwashed ‘house niggers'”

Dr Cullen said there is no reason why young Maori should not smoke. They advised Maori to lie about their smoking habits to avoid being hassled by “health Nazis”.

Dr Cullen even said “the health system is racist and opposes activities like smoking and eating fatty foods simply because Maori enjoy them”

Maybe few are surprised that Dr Cullen is accused before the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal of prescribing massive amounts of the decongestant Sudomyl, which can be used to make P.
