Does NZ First now support free trade?
Winston Peters, along with Jim Anderton, has been one of the biggest advocates of trade barriers instead of free trade.
That is why trade issues were removed from his remit as Foreign Minister.
Yet today we read that has been lobbying US politicians for a free trade agreement with the US.
Now if this means Winston has seen the light, that is good news.
But does his party agree with him, or is Winston playing solo? Do all the NZ First MPs now support free trade, or at least free trade with the US? Does the Party organisation? What about all those anti free trade remits they have passed over the years?
