Stroke of genius

A PR award for excellence should go to Wellington city police area commander Inspector Peter Cowan for his decision to meet the protesters with an all female lineup of police officers. Meant no pictures of male cops arresting protesters, being yelled at as rapists etc.

This is not to say that I don’t think the Police should be ashamed of the culture that existed in at least Rotorua in the 1980s. But as Cowan, said many of his staff were not born back then, and things have definitely changed.
