McCarten on Auckland

Matt McCarten is worried that the combination of overseas trips and and attempts to ban billboards may seal the fate of the centre-left Auckland City Council in October.

It would be a pity if that is why the Council is thrown out, because there are so many better reasons.

The main would have to be the explosion in rates. Backing the Mallard stadium proposal is another. Giving money to quacks who claim to speak to the dead is also on my list. Oh and cutting down the trees.
