Maori Sickness
I wonder if a court would allow a Catholic priest to tesitify that a thuggish burglar was possessed by the devil, and hence should not be accountable for their actions?
Because what is the dfiference between that and having someone advocate “Maori sickness” being the reason for the thuggish burglar’s actions, on the basis he possessed a sacred taiaha (long club) and tokotoko (walking stick) which hadn’t been blessed.
