Ex Cops face further allegations

Lots more dirt coming out of the woodworks.

The NZ Herald has a story on the prosecution of John Dewar for attempting to obstruct or defeat the course of justice. This has been suppressed. Ironically I accidentally broke some suppression details on the case by blogging something about Dewar off memory, totally unaware that the suppression order covered those details. There’s an interesting issue here about how do you not break suppression orders you do not know the details of.

There is a new allegation against Rickards – that he had sex in 1983 with a woman on the bonnet of a police car. From what I can see there is no suggestion the sex was non consensual, but it may be used to stop him being reinstated on behaviour grounds.

Also a very lengthy profile of mainly Shipton, and various people he has slept with.

And finally a further allegation against Shipton of forced oral sex, that the Police did not investigate at the time.
