Thousands of children malnourished
Well Labour’s denial of malnourished kids must be earning them membership in the “faith-based” community rather than the “reality-based” one.
The latest blow to their denials is in today’s HOS, from no less than a professor of paediatrics at Starship Hospital. Dr Grant says that more than 5,000 children admitted to Starship every year are malnourished. He estimates up to 25% of Auckland children are iron-deficient and 10% Vitamin D deficient.
Of course none of these kids must live in Mt Roskill, after its local MP Phil Goff assured us
“I can’t claim to have seen evidence of malnutrition in my electorate.”
I wonder how he manages to keep his Mt Roskill electorate so free of malnutrition. It must truly be a miracle.
