Listen to the Judge

The High Court Judge who is hearing the case of the machete wielding man who tried to rob a gun shop, has taken the very unusual step of commenting on a future case and expressing his concern that Greg Carvell has been prosecuted on firearms offences. The Judge said:

“I am most concerned that Mr Carvell, acting in his own defence and in the defence of another employee, is facing serious criminal charges,”

The Police should take the hint and drop the case. There;s not a jury in NZ which will vote unanimously to convict Carvell and from the sounds of it not many Judges that would either.

All the Police are doing with this misguided action is costing Carvell money and damaging their own reputation.
