Immoral, Unethical and Unacceptable
Newstalk ZB reporterd yesterday that Helen Clark referred to Taito Phillip’s Field’s behaviour as having been “immoral, unethical and unacceptable”.
So the obvious question has to be asked. Why the hell is she allowing her Government to be proppsed up by an MP she considers immoral, unethical and unacceptable? Is there no level of behaviour so low that Labour will take action over Field, rather than keep taking his proxy vote?
This has nothing to do with the judicial and criminal process underway. The PM, like most of us, has been able to form a political opinion based on the masses of material in the public realm. But she will not allow the Labour Party Council or Caucus to take action to remove Field from their caucus.
So perhaps the motto for this Government should be:
“Immoral, unethical and proud of it”
Clark had the perfect opportunity to move against him when he annoucned he would not be co-operating with the Police any further. Her tolerance of this person, in return for his proxy vote, should not be forgotten or forgiven quickly.
