Fiji Travel Bans

Fiji is well within its rights to ban Helen Clark and John Howard from visiting. It is of course a meaningless ban, and the fact the Dictator has imposed it suggests he is more imbalanced than previously thought.

But what is of far more concern is that Fiji has also started banning people from leaving the country. This is a chilling step. Imprisoning your own citizens at home is reminiscent of the former Soviet Empire.
