Anyone can be a police officer!

The Government is desperate to not break its promise of 1,000 extra police. Now instead of paying Police more in order to increase recruitment, they have been lowering standards one by one:

First they increased the maximum age for recruits.

Then they reduced the minimum height eligibility.

Then they relaxed the bans on criminals becoming police officers.

Now they have gone one better and even those who fail basic training are being allowed to go on the beat.

Most of those failing, are failing the English language requirements. Rather crucial I would have said.
