Charlotte and Jack are the most popular names for kids in 2006 according to DIA.

What I found interesting is that Chloe is coming back into favour, and up six places. Because I recall after Gary McCormick profiled “Chloe of Wainuiomata” on his show around oh 15 years ago, the name Chloe fell out of favour massively as it became associated with extreme stupidity and dizziness. It almost became a generic insult – “You’re just a Chloe”.

I’m surprised Elizabeth isn’t in the top 30 – I think it’s a great name. Maia makes No 18, and Ava 26. Anna isn’t in the top 30 either

For boys David is not in the top 30 also. Nor Christopher. The names are a changing.
