IRB worried by All Black ascendancy
The IRB Chairman says he is worried “about the ascendancy of New Zealand in world rugby”.
If only. We haven’t won the bloody world cup in 20 years. We have done well in 2006 being the IRB Team of the Year and No One in the rankings, and oh yeah 2005 with the grand slam. But we came last in the tri-nations in 2004, so I don’t count two years of good results as an “ascendancy” which threatens world rugby. And the 2005 and 2006 tri-series both saw NZ lose a match.
