Fiji getting worse

No Right Turn has the latest from Fiji, and it’s all bad.

* The Dictator has got one of his puppets to grant full and unconditional immunity from criminal, civil and professional proceedings for the Dictator and his troops. You have to appreciate the hypocrisy that the attempt to have an amnesty for those who were involved in the last coup, is one of the reasons the Dictator gave for this coup.

* The Dictator has warned that complaining publicly about human rights will be seen as inciting the public. All complaints must be made to his puppets in the Human Rights Commission, and not to the media or you will “be dealt with accordingly”.

* Finally the Dictator has said that elections might be five years away. Five years!!!
