TVNZ Content online

TVNZ is going to make original content such as Shortland Street and Asia Down Under available for download on the Internet the day after they screen. This is a welcome and sensible move.

One News will remain free online which is great. Half hour programmes will cost around $2 which isn’t too bad, even though personally I would have initially priced content at 99c for marketing purposes.

This of course will put more pressure on Internet providers to supply broadband at speeds where you can quickly download a 30 minute TV show.
