US race tightens

Two polls in the last 24 hours have shown the gap closing in the US. A month ago Gallup had the Democrats 23% ahead in a generic ballot, and now it is 7% amongst registered voters and 4% amongst likely voters.

There are more details in the monthly polling newsletter which is out tomorrow, but the Democrats winning the House has gone from being a dear cert to merely more likely than not. And the chances of a Senate mahjority are slim, but possible.
