Trials must be in public!

A Judge has barred the media from attending court during evidence from a 14 year old alleged rape victim.

This is an abuse of the Judge’s power and even the Prosecutor has said it is illegal. The media, on our behalf, have the right to attend any trial not involving national security. One can supress evidence but not bar the media from even being there.

This is surely grpounds for a complaint about the Judge concerned, if it has been reported correctly?
