Masochists Wanted

I am seeking two to four masochists moderators for Kiwiblog. The role of the moderators will be to remove or edit any comments which breach the comments policy for the blog , and to warn and if necessary suspend posters who breach the policy.

A number of people have said that they believe the comments section can be made more useful with a tighter clamp down on things. I’m willing to give this a try to see how it works, but don’t have the time to do it all myself.

So I’m after up to four people who are willing to give up some of their time to help out. I’m thinking we do a two month trial and then review how sucessful, or otherwise it has been.

Moderators will be given access to the backend and have the ability to edit, delete and blacklist. We’ll draw up amongst ourselves cleqar criteria for these and also decision making procedures (such as least two moderators to agree to blacklist someone).
