Independent life does exist in NZ First!!
Dail Jones has been re-elected President of NZ First, despite Caucus putting up their own candidate, MP Barbara Stewart, against him. This is quite literally possibly the first time ever a vote in NZ First has not gone the way Winston wanted it.
It had been widely reported the Caucus wanted Jones gone as he spoke openly about the need to prepare for life after Winston. And he even again referred to this issue in his conference speech, remarking that Peters, like Jones was in his mid 60s.
