Dumb dumb dumb

ABC News has the story of the Republican Congressman who has resigned after congressional pages (school age assistants) revealed he often IM’d them with inappropriate comments such as telling one of them he would like to slip his t-shirt and shorts off him. He also asks them if they have been spanking themselves and discusses various techniques at length. Yuck.

How he got away with it for so long, I don’t know – and how stupid one has to be to think you will. It seems they even warned incoming intakes of pages about him.

The irony is he had crusaded for tough laws against those who used the Internet for sexual exploitation of children, and now may be prosecuted under the very same laws he introduced.
