More lies
Another day, another lie.
Today’s one is the claim from Helen that the Auditor-General has been privately saying hat he backs Labour’s plan to pass a backdated law validating unlawful spending in last year’s election campaign.
He says that is rubbish or to quote him “I would never say that”.
Helen specialises in claiming people say things privately and not naming them, because it makes it impossible to contradict.
As an example she has claimed three press gallery members have all confirmed privately that National MPs promoted the Peter Davis rumours to them. Now no gallery member has said this publicly and a large number have said quite the opposite. In fact I understand an informal survey has been done within the gallery and not a single member says they have said any such thing to Helen.
So either she is lying again, or for some unknown reasons three members of the gallery are not willing to publicly confirm what she says they privately say.
