Marina Society wins legal action
NZPA is reporting that the Whangamata Marina Society has won its legal action against the Conservation Minister Chris Carter and Justice Fogarty has ruled that Carter must reconsider the application to build the marina.
The marina society has also won costs.
Can Carter be seen to make a neutral decision next time as the court has effectively ruled that he was biased and did not follow correct procedure last time? Can the public have confidence in Carter carrying on in this portfolio?
