Pundits should not under-estimate how messy the sacking of the Electricity Commissioner is. Labour set up this position. This was their solution. They appointed him.

And even worse they misjudged him. As they pushed him out, they were pretending it was a retirement, and he blow their lines out of the water by saying he was pushed out because he stood up to Governemnt interefence.

It will be very hard to get a replacement as they will be seen as a stooge, and not independent.
