Predicting the outcome
It is usually dangerous to predict the outcome of an appeal, just based on comments from the Judges.
However in the case of Murrary McCully appealing the ruling of Justice Wild that only media, and not MPs, could access the court file, it seems fairly safe to predict McCully will win.
The Herald reports that the ourt of Appeal president Justice William Young labelled the High Court decision as creating an “absurd situation” and his colleague Justice Grant Hammond suggested that the appeal “would have to succeed”.
