Way Cool!

I’ve had a Blackberry 8700 for a couple of weeks and it is already surgically attached to me. It is great to be able to leave my laptop at home yet still keep up with e-mail and appts during the day. Oh yeah plus make calls on it.

Anyway just discovered a very cool feature. I had an e-mail from a journalist asking me to call. Now I was just about to try and memorise the phone number, click out of the e-mail, into the phone dialog and then dial off memory.

But I noticed a broken underline of the phone number in his e-mail. Curious I clicked on it and sure enough it automatically dialled the number. Now that is bloody useful. Even better it converts all numbers into the standard + 64 xxxxxxxx format regardless of whether it is down as (09) or 09 or 00 64 9 etc. That is seriously useful.
