Today is Tax Freedom Day

Today, June 1st, is Tax Freedom Day for New Zealand. Yes it is not until the sixthj month of the year do you stop paying for the Government and start saving money to pay for your own expenses. This is six days later than last year.

Australia had their tax freedom day three weeks ago on the 10th of May. Graphs below show how we compare internationally, and how much later tax freedom day has come in the last few years.
