Israel prevents assassination of Palestinian President

Israel foiled a plot to assassinate Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, by tipping him off to it.

So who was trying to assassinate him? Was it Israeli settlers? Was it a Jewish fundamentalist? Was it the CIA?
