Budget Coverage

Dr Cullen’s office kindly agreed to treat blogers as media and accredited me to the budget lockup today. This would have meant I get to start reading the budget papers at midday, so as his speech starts at 2 pm I can then start reporting and analysing material as he announces it.

However in a fit of stupidity I overlooked that I have a meeting in Auckland today starting at, you guess it 2 pm. Even worse I am chairing the meeting and set the date and time! So budget coverage from DPF will have to wait until later on Thursday. Doesn’t sound like too many surprises left in the bag anyway.
