Y chromosome co-leader candidates
The Green Party have announced that there are four candidates standing for the role of co-leader with a Y chromosome.
The main contest seems to be Nandor Tanczos vs Russel Norman. Norman ran the 2005 campaign which actually failed to see Tanczos returned to Parliament.
The other two contenders are Mike Ward and David Clendon.
For the candidates this is not just about becoming Leader but whether they will even remain or become an MP. If Tanczos does not win, he could well miss out on being an MP next time with Norman’s ascendancy pushing him down the rankings. Likewise the best chance for the other three of becoming an MP is to win the co-leadership.
The Green Party website has profiles of the four candidates.
